Information for the Spring Exam
The content and labs of Chs. 29, 30, and 32 will be covered. As always, you must be able to recognize and do the three major problem types: 1) dvat, 2) net force, 3) conservation.
For specific skills and content knowledge required, see the Chapter Objectives.
For atomic physics review, see L29 (and the associated WebAssign prelab assessment), electron diffraction (discussed in class last week), and these AP level problems. Ignore the problems on energy levels in your review, since Ch. 31 isn't covered on the exam.
For relativity and nuclear physics review, see the related assessments, the relativity practice problems, and this problem.
This part of the exam counts 7.5% of the trimester grade and 2.5% of the year grade.
