Happy and Sad Balls

We are dropping two identically similar balls against two steel bars of equal mass. The balls are being held from a height predetermined by Jamal our dropper so they will only knock down one bar. Let's see what happens. Now let's say why this happened. The ball that hit the bar that fell over had a greater elasticity, which produced a greater change in momentum, which enacted a greater force on the bar.
