Ed Moore has been a sculptor most of his life. Working in clay, wood and metal, he developed a love and talent for three dimensional art. Those interests expanded through his youth and turned into a career in architecture and he is now an owner of Moore + Burton Architects, PA in Raleigh, NC. As a professional sand sculptor, he has built sculptures along the East coast and across the country, worked with other master sculptors and participated int he International Sand Sculpting Competition in British Columbia, Canada.

Along with a group of artist friends, Ed formed "Sandy Feat". He considers sand sculpting a performing art, molding the sand with his hands and creating the art as he works. The group enjoys traveling to the coast to create unique sculptures from multistory castles to playful animals and unusual characters. Beaches are natural places for sand sculpture, however, Sandy Feat has built sculptures inland at malls, fairs, trade shows and special events both outside and inside.
