Introduction

After much discussion, the group finally decided that shooting objects that could potentially explode would be very interesting. So, we proposed the idea to our instructor, Dr. Winters, and he approved the notion.

The group initially started by colliding an egg with a bullet. After our first shoot, Dr. Winters thought it would be best if we tried something different because the egg project was quite messy as you could imagine. So from here we decided to shoot jello cubes. This to proved to be interesting as we were able to observe to types of jello (hard and soft).

Project Criteria:

The goal of the first quarter project is to take an original high-speed photograph or series of photographs.  The photograph must be a phenomenon that has not been previously photographed or a phenomenon that has been photographed before is captured in a different way.

Constraints

  1. Group of three
  2. Conducted safely
  3. Available equipment
  4. Project was take place in no more than 2 weeks

In the proceeding pages we take a look at each experiment.
