Welcome to the high speed imaging project page of the Colliders!

The collision project was created and completed as 1st quarter project for the High Speed Imaging class at the NC School of Science and Mathematics (2001).

Goal: To take good pictures of two racquetballs falling in succession from a height.

Project Summary: We wanted to know what racquetball collisions in high speed looked like.  The purpose of the project was to take high speed photographs of two racquetballs falling one directly on another, in order to investigate the collision and resulting deformation of the balls when they hit the surface of the table.

Some of our Best Pictures are seen in the Gallery.
