    The following pictures where taken with a Nikon 990 digital still camera.  We lit the water from behind with a slide projector and two pieces of translucent plexiglass.    

 

dcaf1471.jpg (60366 bytes) Here is a picture of a bubble about to form, the jet stream is about to finish and the bubble will come out on the surface of the water.

Here is a great picture of the jet streams meeting in the center of the bubble.

dcaf1500.jpg (66239 bytes) The formation of a bubble was non existent in this case, yet a uniform column formed instead.
