Project Conclusion: Brittany and Blake
started off on a journey of epic proportions - photograph the GummiBear
experiment, one of the famous names of the School of Science and Mathematics.
They ran into many problems along the way, from malfunctioning triggers to a
difficult circuit and finally scheduling conflicts - but in the end, everything
was resolved, and the GummiBear experiment was indeed photographed. Using
a Nikon D1 and a home-built photo-sensitive trigger, these two students learned
much about photography, digital SLR cameras, chemistry, and working with other
departments. They could have improved their method by perhaps having
thought of scheduling conflicts ahead of time, could have been more
knowledgeable about the GummiBear experiment so that working on the time table
of another department wasn't an issue, and perhaps they could have redesigned
the trigger with a smaller delay so that capturing the start of a lighter would
have been possible. However, for the most part, this experiment was a
success, since they accomplished their goal of photographing the famous
GummiBear experiment, and they are content with their pictures. |
