Quick on the Draw

This photo is an example of a problem we had several times. We triggered the camera too late after triggering the explosion (or triggered the explosion too soon before the camera) and, thanks to shutter lag, missed the explosion. Visible are the last of the burning gas, the pendulum, and the triggering mechanism.
