Sharon Roberson and Elizabeth Whitlock, graduates of the NCSSM class of 2001, won 2nd place in the 2001 High-School Physics Photo Contest sponsored by the American Association of Physics Teachers.  The photo, which they took as part of a project in their High-Speed Imaging class, was also published on the cover of the November issue of The Physics Teacher journal.  For similar photos and information about their project, see their Drummers web site.  For contest winners in previous years, see this gallery.
