Water Balloon Collision 1 This video clip makes visible something that would never be noticed in real time. A water toy, which resembled a water balloon was thrown towards the floor. With the naked eye, the toy seemed to slightly deform and bounce back up. However, with this video, it is apparend that the toy actually completely compresses against the ground before bouncing back up. The toy stretches and deforms more than the naked eye could ever see. The framerate for this video was 2000 frames/sec, and the shutter speed was 5X, or 1/10000th of a second. |
