1. How did astronomers figure out the size of our galaxy and the sun's place in it?

   2. The properties and types of objects that are in the halo of our galaxy
are very different from the properties and types of objects that are present
in the spiral arms of our galaxy.  Give at least 5 examples.
(I am hoping for more "properties" and not so much "types".)

   3.  Why are O and B main sequence stars always found in or near the spiral arms?

I did my own work on this JIT.
