how to present a transparency problem

1) get a blank transparency from my office door (the blue folder)

2) if you don't have your own, you can BORROW a transparency pen from me (as long as you return it in a day)

3) choose a problem that hasn't been done in class or for homework; try to make it topical (i.e., on a topic we have recently been studying)

4) write out the solution on the transparency, following all the steps in the method

5) bring it to class; move the overhead projector from the back of the classroom to the front by the screen AT THE BEGINNING OF THE PERIOD
(which means you have to be on-time or early to class that day)

(We only do ONE transparency at most per day, and we ALWAYS do it at the BEGINNING of class.)

6) generally, it should take about 1 minute or 2 minutes to present the solution to the class.

7) bask in the class's applause and approval of your problem.

8) after your presentation, return the overhead projector to the back of class, and put the shroud (the large black garbage bag) back on.

9) return the used transparency to my office door; someone else (the late people) will clean it
