us for 4 exciting days of Music Technology instruction on Electric and MIDI
Strings and Music Composition and Theory!!
The
North Carolina School of Science and Mathematics, Durham, NC, will sponsor a Music
and Technology Workshop for teachers June 30 through July 3, 2002.
There will be two courses of study for the workshop:

Electric
and MIDI String Technology, and
·
Teaching
Music Composition and Theory using MIDI, Digital Audio, and Web-Based Resources.
Participants
in the Electric String Workshop will receive “hands-on” instruction on
electric and MIDI string instrument technology, ideas for educational
applications, and training on applicable software from nationally recognized
specialists. Participants in the
Music Composition and Theory program will receive an inside look at established
and innovative techniques to enhance their curriculum using a computer
laboratory (software and hardware) or with a distance learning web site.
Teachers may choose one or both courses of study.
Continuing Education Units will be offered.
